We created this activity planner to help guide and plan your day based on your child & family’s interests:

  • 10:30 – 11:10 – How to Draw Faces  – Presenter: Allison Barrows.  Join cartoonist Allison Barrows for a fun intro to cartooning drawing workshop where you’ll learn how to draw expressive faces.  (For all ages) 
  • 11:20 – 12:00 – Character Design – Presenter: Cathy G. Johnson. Learn to design your very own cartoon character! We’ll help you generate ideas for your own character, compose your character using basic shapes, and help you get the most out of your cartoon by using exaggeration. (For all ages) 
  • 12:10 – 12:50 – Zombie Drawing Workshop – Presenter: Jesse Lundberg: Learn to how to draw zombies and create your own ghoulish creation! (For all ages)
  • 1:00 – 1:45 – Creating Superheroes: Art Demo & Workshop – Presenters: Jim Lawson (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles): Learn tips on how these comic pros draw popular superhero characters and inspire you to create your own superhero comic characters! (For all ages) 
  • 2:00 – 2:45 – Create a Comic  – Presenter: Chris Watkins – Making comics is fun, and maybe easier than you think! In this workshop, you’ll learn how to make different kinds of minicomics and pick up some tips on how to tell great stories with pictures. (For all ages)
  • 3:00 – 3:45 – Unleashing Wonder: Harnessing the Imagination to Create Powerful Fiction – Presenter: Dianna Sanchez: She’ll be your muse to help inspire and guide you to creative unique and captivating stories. (Ages 6 and up)
  • 4:00 – 4:30 – Sketch-Off – Presenter: KC Staff – Show off your drawing skills and battle to win the title of Kids Con Sketch Champion! (For all ages)

Nashua Grand Ballroom:

  • Artist Alley –10:00 – 5:00 – Meet Comic & Children’s Book Artists, Authors and Creators! Let them inspire you, ask them questions, and pick up some awesome art & books!

Balsam Ballroom:

  • 1:15- 2:00 – Meet R.W. “Bob” Alley Award Winning Artist of Paddington Bear! Enjoy a book reading, talk with Q&A, drawing demo (For all ages)

Hollis Workshop Room:

  • 10:00 – 10:30 – Coloring Contest – Presenter: KC Staff – Show off your coloring skills and win cool prizes! (For ages 12 and under)
  • 10:30 – 11:15 – The Cows Go Moo! Book Read, Sing-along & Drawing Activity – Presenter: Jim Petipas: a book reading, teach and sing the song with my guitar, draw some illustrations, and do a book signing (All ages)
  • 11:30 – 12:15 – Meet Nancy Krulik– 3x NY Times Bestselling Children’s Book Author – Enjoy a Mad Libs-style activity with her GEORGE BROWN CLASS CLOWN and PRINCESS PULVERIZER book series, book read, create an all-new original character, Q&A, and book signings. (For all ages)
  • 12:45 – 1:30 –  Mask Making – Presenter: J.M. Sheridan – Create your own cow mask from the Mrs. Moomoo book series! Makes a fun addition to your cosplay! Mask Making Station will also be available all day, includes superhero masks and more, while supplies last. (For all ages)
  • 1:45 – 2:30 – Peculiar Pets – Presenter: Jennifer Morris – If you could invent the perfect pet what would it be? A fire breathing hamster? A giant lizard that you could ride like a horse? Let you imagination go wild in this character design workshop as we use cut paper and other art supplies to create portraits of perfectly peculiar pets. (For all ages)
  • 2:45 – 3:30 – Learn to Create Animation! – Presenter: Tiny Siren Animation: We provide animation frames for children to color, which we’ll then photograph and edit together into a short animation! (For all ages)
  • 3:30 – 4:15 – Portfolio Reviews for Kids & Teens – Presenter: Jay Mooers: Bring your art portfolios, sketchbooks, and comics you created for critique and guidance from a professional comic artist! (For ages 18 and under)

For the Gamer:

  • Northwood Suite Game Room:
    • 10:00 – 5:00 – Table Top Gaming – Presenters: Game Makers Guild – Meet game makers and learn to play fun up & coming indie games! They may even inspire you to create your own! (For all ages)
    • 1:00 – 2:00 – Game Design Workshop – Presenter: Jeff Johnston of Pair of Jacks Games & Game Makers Guild– In this fun creative workshop, you are the game designer! Let your imagination fly, build on your ideas with a team, and play test your invention!

Bedford Video Game Room:

  • 10:00 – 5:00 – Video Gaming – Presenter: Gamer’s Sanctuary :
  • Meet Pikachu!
  • Pokémon Ultimate Gym Leader Battle* – Defeat any gym leader and win a badge! *($1 Entry Fee. For all ages)
  • Minecraft Build-a-thon -Face off against each other to see who can create the best build based off a theme. Build as quickly as you can before the voting starts to get as many points from other players as possible!
  •  Star Wars Kinect, Pokémon Stadium, Mario Kart and more! (Free for all ages)
