(Art supplies provided. No signups required, first come basis til seats are filled. Bringing your own sketchbook is encouraged.)
- 10:30 – 11:10 – Cartooning with Tim Jones – Presenter: Tim Jones, creator of Sour Grapes comic. Join cartoonist Tim Jones for this fun intro to cartooning drawing workshop where you’ll learn how to draw expressive faces and characters Aesop and Maddy from the comic strip Sour Grapes! (For all ages)
- 11:20 – 12:00 – Fantastic Beasts and How to Draw Them! – Presenter: Jennifer Morris, award winning author & illustrator of Maud the Koala and Flubby the Cat series! Create a zoo full of bizarre and amazing creatures! Learn some tips for drawing animals, both real and imaginary and really get your creative juices flowing. (For all ages)
- 12:10 – 12:50 – How to Write and Illustrate a Comic Strip Gag! – Presenter: Dave London, award-winning cartoonist and co-creator of Pet Peeves! Learn to illustrate a joke in comic strip format! (For all ages)
- 1:00 – 1:40 – Story, Ukulele Song & Learn to Draw Monty the Moose! – Presenter: Aaron Risi – Learn the story of Monty the Moose and how he got his ukulele, enjoy a song, and learn how to draw Monty the Moose! (For all ages)
- 2:00 – 2:40 – Creating Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Art Demo & Workshop – Presenter: Jim Lawson: Learn how to draw TMNT characters by TMNT comic artist & author, Jim Lawson! (For all ages)
- 3:00 – 3:40 – Character Design – Presenter: Mark Parisi, award-winning cartoonist and writer of Off the Mark comic strip and Marty Pants book series! Follow along as Mark demonstrates his step by step process on how to draw the Marty Pants characters, including Jerome the cat! (For all ages)
- 4:00 – 4:40 – Create-an-Adventure story with Spooks the Cat – Presenter: Alison Schloss, comic creator of The Adventures of Spooks the Cat! We’ll collaborate as group and make up a story about five things that Spooks the Cat might encounter in the woods on a nightly adventure! (For all ages)
MONHEGAN ART & CRAFTS WORKSHOP ROOM:
- 10:00 – 5:00 – Coloring Fun! – Fun & cute coloring and activity pages available all day, while supplies last!
- 10:00 – 5:00 – Create a Yoda Puppet! – Create an adorable Yoda paper bag puppet, available all day, while supplies last!
- 10:00 – 5:00 – Mask Making* – Paper craft mask making available all day, while supplies last!
*Note: These are paper crafts, not cdc regulation grade masks. You must still wear your cdc regulation grade masks that cover mouth and nose throughout the event.
- 12:00 – 12:40 – Coloring Contest – Presenter: KC Staff – Show off your coloring skills and win cool prizes! Winners announced at 1pm at the Check-in Advanced Tickets Booth in the lobby (see names written on sheet). (For ages 12 and under)
- 1:30 – 2:10 – Create a Comic Character with Rick Parker, Artist of Marvel Comics, Beavis & Butthead & more! – Learn tips of the trade about what makes a visually interesting character design, and how characters differ from others based on their personality and more.
- 4:10 – 4:40 – Sketch-Off – Presenter: KC Staff – Show off your drawing skills and battle to win the title of Kids Con Sketch Champion! (For all ages)

- 10:00 – 5:00 – Artist & Author Alley – Meet Amazing Artists, Authors, Vendors & more! Get awesome autographed books, art and toys to add to your collections!Keep an eye out for Yoshi, Pikachu, Superheroes, Princesses, Star Wars Characters and BB8 rolling around! 🙂
- 10:00 – 5:00 – Scavenger Hunt! – Locate all the creators on the Scavenger Hunt sheet, get their autographs, and bring the completed sheet to the Event Lobby Advanced Tickets Booth to get a prize! *while supplies last.

- 3:00 – 3:40 – Kids and Family Costume Contest – Show off your themed costumed family or individual costume and enter to win cool prizes! Must be present during contest to win. Registration will be at the Superheroes table in the Sebago Room. (For all ages)
BREAKWATER ROOM:
- 10:00 – 5:00 – Calmer Space: Sensory Friendly Zone – Presenter: Calm Passion – With all of the great things happening at Kids Con, it might get a bit overstimulating for some kids and parents alike, so the folks from Calm Passion will be there providing a more sensory neutral space where you can take a break and enjoy Lego Building and low stress activities to help attendees refocus, recharge, and rejoin the fun when they are ready!

Show your support and bring holiday cheer to children in need by donating a new, unwrapped toy or book into the marked Toys for Tots boxes in the lobby.

Accessibility
Our event and venue facilities are easily accessible for physically challenged and wheelchair friendly, with lots of free onsite parking and handicap spots available by the event entrance. All event space and activities are located on the main first floor, easily accessible with outdoor ramps leading directly into the event. There are elevators located by the entrance for those lodging. Wheelchairs, high chairs, and cribs are available by request of the hotel staff. Bathrooms are easily located on the first floor and are equipped with handicapped stalls. The hotel is pet friendly and service animals are welcome at the event. There is an onsite restaurant, as well as additional restaurants located within short walking distance from the venue. More info.
