Here’s Important Check-in Info, Table Assignments, Schedule & Fun Stuff!
Set-up & Check-in:

Check-in & Setup Sunday April 6th: 7:30am – 9:30am
Event Hours: 10am-4pm
Staff & Volunteers: Please arrive between 7:15am – 9:00am.
Contact us if you need extra time for setup Saturday evening.
Enter the castle through the front entrance, then take a left in the lobby and check in at the Kids Con Booth. Sign the event poster while you’re there!
Your assigned table will have your name/business badge, lanyard, and a wristband for your table buddy. Each 6ft table we provide comes with 2 passes, 2 chairs, and a tablecloth. If you’ve bought extra passes, you’ll get extra wristbands. Additional passes can be purchased online or at the door.
If you’ve communicated with us that you’re bringing your own table, we’ll give you your badge and wristband when you check-in at the Kids Con Booth. A card with your name / business will be placed on the chairs at your designated area.
Check the Event Map for your table location. If you need help finding your table, look for a staff member wearing a Kids Con Staff badge.
After checking in, you can also use the Ashwood Court entrance on the left side of the building (with large curved windows) to bring in your gear. It’s closer to the Artist & Author Grand Ballroom and Wentworth Ballroom.

Parking:
Free on-site parking. You may park for a short time in the upper parking area to check-in and unload, but we kindly ask that you move your car to one of the lower parking lots to make it more convenient and accessible for attendees. Additional overflow parking available in the surrounding office parks.

Activities & Workshops:
We greatly appreciate all who reached out to present an activity! As much as we’d love to include all, we have limited time on this fun packed day.
Please see our Event Schedule for assigned presenters and times.
If you are participating in an activity or workshop, please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to the start of the activity. Let a staff member know if you need someone to watch your table during the activity, or can kindly ask the person tabling next to you if they could watch your table.
Workshop supplies provided: white paper, colored construction paper, cardstock, paper bags, paper plates, pencils, colored pencils, crayons, rulers, hole punchers, safety scissors, tape, school glue, fabric glue, whiteboards with markers, erasers and whiteboard cleaner. Please let us know if there’s something in particular not listed here that you need.
Scavenger Hunt:
Printed in our event program. The kids will locate the books, creators & more, check off when found, and they may ask for your signature. They bring the completed list to the front Kids Con booth for a prize! (while supplies last)
Kids & Family Costume Contest:
Prizes for best kids, best family, and most original. Signups for kids & families to participate in the costume contests located at the Kids Con Booth. The contest will be held at 2:30pm in the Wentworth Ballroom – see Event Program Map.

Several banks are located nearby within a mile from the venue: Citibank, Citizens, Chase, TD Bank, Bank of America
WIFI Internet:
Free open WIFI. If you experience connectivity issues, offline modes are available for Square and most card readers that allow you to still conduct sales, will process payments when connectivity is re-established. Let us know if you are having trouble and we will do our best to help.
Electricity, Charging Stations:
There are electrical outlets located along all the walls in each room (~every 12-18ft) throughout the venue.

Food Concessions:
Onsite food concessions, drinks & snacks located in the front main lobby, as well as dining at the Tara House Grill located next to Ashwood Court / Artist Grand Ballroom.
Stepping out is no problem! Simply show your badge / wristbands to re-enter the event!
Water Stations:
Bring your water bottles to fill up at the water stations throughout the venue.

Accessibility:
Our event and venue facilities are easily accessible for physically challenged and wheelchair friendly, with lots of free onsite parking and handicap spots available by the event entrance. All event space and activities are located on the main first floor, easily accessible double doors leading directly into the event. Service dogs are welcomed.
Restrooms:
Restrooms are located near the front main entrance in the left hall, as well as in the hall next to Artist & Author Alley & Tara House Grill Restaurant, and are equipped with handicapped stalls. Hand Sanitizing Stations in restrooms, the lobby, workshop and activity rooms.
Tables are refundable up until 30 days prior to event. Tables are not transferable. If unable to attend, please contact us asap.
Tickets are non-refundable, but can be given to friends or family if unable to attend.
Workshops and activities included with admission to the event. Programming & exhibitors are subject to change.
