Here’s Important Check-in Info, Table Assignments, Schedule & Fun Stuff!
Set-up & Check-in:
This event is a one day show on Saturday November 9, 2024, from 10am-4pm.
Friday is available if you who want to come setup early, or can setup Saturday morning before show starts.
Setup: Fri Nov 8th: 2pm – 6:30pm
Setup: Sat (Event Day) Nov 9th: 7:30am – 9:30am
(Online ticket holders early entry at 9:40am)
Staff & Volunteers: Please arrive between 7:15am – 9:15am on event day.
Standard 6ft table(s), with chairs and tablecloth provided.
Event entrance located at the west side lobby. Follow signage, enter through double-doors. Additional loading can be available at left side of the building. Notify a staff member if you need assistance.
Check-in at the Kids Con Booth and sign our event poster! You can then proceed to your table located on the Exhibitors Map. Also, view our Print Program.
Your exhibitor name badge and wristbands for your table buddies will be at your assigned tables. If you need help finding it, we’d be happy to assist, we’ll be wearing Kids Con Staff badges. Tables, chairs, and tablecloths are provided.
Additional passes can be purchased online or at the door.
Parking:
Lots of free on-site parking and overflow at surrounding lots and across the street at the Maine Mall. You may park for a short time by the entrance to check-in and unload, but we kindly ask that you move your car to one of the surrounding lots to make it more convenient and accessible for attendees.
Activities & Workshops:
We greatly appreciate all who reached out to present an activity! As much as we’d love to include all, we have limited time on this fun packed day.

If you are participating in an activity or workshop, please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to the start of the activity. Let a staff member know if you need someone to watch your table during the activity, or can kindly ask the person tabling next to you if they could watch your table.
Workshop supplies provided: white paper, colored construction paper, cardstock, paper bags, paper plates, pencils, colored pencils, crayons, rulers, hole punchers, safety scissors, tape, school glue, fabric glue, whiteboards with markers, erasers and whiteboard cleaner. Please let us know if there’s something in particular not listed here that you need.
Scavenger Hunt:
Printed in our event program. The kids will locate the books, creators & more, check off when found, and they may ask for your signature. They bring the completed list to the front Kids Con booth for a prize! (while supplies last)
Kids & Family Costume Contest:
Prizes for best kids, best family, and most original. Signups for kids & families to participate in the costume contests located at the Kids Con Booth. The contest will be held at 2:40pm in the Cumberland Ballroom, see Schedule and Program Map.

ATM & Banking:
ATM located in the east hotel lobby business center. Banks located within a mile: Bank of America, TD Bank, and Gorham Savings Bank.
WIFI Internet:
Free open WIFI. Select the “Lighthouse” Wifi to connect. If you experience connectivity issues, come to the Kids Con booth in the lobby or ask the hotel front desk, and we will do our best to help. Offline modes are available for Square and most card readers that allow you to still conduct sales, will process payments when connectivity is re-established.
Electricity, Charging Station:
There are outlets located along the walls in all the rooms, lobby, restaurant, and business center.
Food & Restaurants on site:
Doubletree Restaurant, East Lobby Snack Bar, Chipotle, Cracker Barrel, Starbucks.
Water Station in west lobby and by the Cumberland Ballroom next to the Restaurant. Snacks, water and beverages available in the hotel east lobby.
Restaurants & Takeout Food within 1 mile or less: Applebee’s, Popeye’s, Chili’s, Uno’s, Longhorn, IHOP, Five Guys, El Rodeo, Panera, Burger King, McDonald’s, Olive Garden, Tuscan Table, Texas Roadhouse, Little Ceasar’s, Famhouse Kitchen, OTTO, Sebago, Sea Dog, Johnny Rockets, Taj Indian, Blue Wave Grill & more.
We also have a Staff Room with nourishments located in the hall by the Cumberland Ballroom for our staff, volunteers, guests, workshop & activity presenters.
Stepping out is no problem! Simply show your badge / wristbands to re-enter the event!
Accessibility:
Our event and venue facilities are easily accessible for physically challenged and wheelchair friendly, with lots of free onsite parking and handicap spots available by the event entrance. All event space and activities are located on the main first floor, easily accessible double doors leading directly into the event. Service dogs are welcomed.
Restrooms:
Bathrooms are easily located near the entrance, to the right of the Kids Con Booth, and are equipped with handicapped stalls. Hand Sanitizing Stations in Lobby, Workshop & Performance Areas.
